Prof. Gururaj Saileshwar, and his students Shaopeng Lin and Joyce Qu win the Best Paper Award for Technical Impact at CSAW’25 (North America)

Congratulations to Professor Gururaj Saileshwar, his PhD student Shaopeng Lin and undergraduate research assistant Joyce Qu on receiving the Best Paper Award for Technical Impact for their work “GPUHammer” at the CSAW Applied Research Competition 2025 (North America). CSAW (see-SAW) celebrates the most influential applied security research from top venues like IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, CCS, NDSS, CHI, and PETS. This “Best Paper Award” assesses the top scholarly security research from the year with the focus on research that has a practical impact and this team nailed it. This is a major milestone as it is Canada’s first-ever CSAW win! They truly hammered it home! 🔨🇨🇦
